Peaceful coffee and cake moments looking at a rose garden full of colourful buds and roses, that is the inspiration for the Summer Roses Table Runner.
The 4 unique rose designs are done in an openwork technique. This gives a modern and crisp look.
As the background fabric shows through I used a white fabric to compliment my thread choice.
This table runner is straight forward to make, but it has a fair number of hoopings for the sashing that stitch out extremely quickly. The beautiful quilting on the sashing is done in gold metallic thread.
The assembling of the table runner is done on a sewing machine.
The backing is your preferred choice.
The fun with this project is that the blocks can be arranged to make a table runner, a hanger or used in a quilt, cushion cover panels and anything that you can dream up.
