The felt unicorn tin play set is fun and simple to make from scraps of felt, fabric, cardstock, and a metal tin box (use recycled Altoid mint tins or purchase empty tins online). The finished unicorn is approximately 2 1/2” wide by 3 3/4” tall. The unicorn is stitched entirely by hand, using a whip stitch around the felt edges, along with French knots for the eyes/nostrils, straight stitches for the horn/mane, and stem stitch for the mouth.
A printable PDF is included for the unicorn house design on front of tin, window design inside tin lid, and rainbow design on back of tin. If you love the little unicorn but don’t want to use a tin, you can make an adorable felt rainbow bag for him/her to sleep in. Patterns can be enlarged or reduced to make the unicorn and sleeping bag any size that you would like.
