Topknot Headband - PDF Pattern
This sewing pattern is for a top knot headband, with five different sizes (newborn through to adult) and includes a step-by-step tutorial with colour illustrations to guide you at every step, making it easy for you. The tutorial and pattern are suitable for a beginner sewing project (no overlocker required, just a sewing machine with a straight stitch). Comes with A4 and letter sized paper files to print. The pattern is printed on 3 x pieces of paper. Tutorial is a separate document, that is optional to print. Fabric required: Top knots can be made with any woven fabric in a mid weight, or if you use light weight it's most likely you will need a backing fabric. I prefer to use quilting cottons as there are so many great prints available. The great thing about this pattern, is you can use scraps of fabric as the pattern pieces are fairly small. New born: 35cm x 60cm width (13.77" x 23.62"). Adult: 35cm x 70cm width (13.77" x 27.55"). You can also use a fat quarter if desired. Instructions for new marker if using a fat quarter are in the tutorial. You will also need 10cm (3.93") of 3-4cm (1.5") wide elastic for the back of the headband (for all sizes). To fit head circumference: New born: 35cm (13.77”) Infant: 40cm (15.74”) Toddler: 45cm (17.71”) Child: 50cm (19.68”) Adult: 55cm (21.65”) Please note: these measurements may vary due to how tight you tie the bow. This would make a great project for baby shower gifts, especially paired with a pair of matching bloomers, pdf pattern sold separately below.
