This fun placemat can be worked up for children or adults. Change the colors to
fit the age and taste of the individual you are making it for. Personalize it with an approx. ¾” tall alphabet (included are the capital letters of our ¾” Chicago font).
The placemat sides are quilted with a balloon quilting motif; the sides with a
geometric motif, and the center is stipple quilted and embroidered. Most of the
placemat is done as an in the hoop project; a small amount of machine sewing is
required. The “binding” is actually the backing wrapped around to the front. It’s
easy to do – we show you how.
